"If your words deserve a different style, I’ll give you that choice. An AI voice won’t.
Every word I read, I understand. An AI voice can’t.
I care deeply about every word I say, and how I say it. An AI voice doesn’t.
Your words are your brand, your mission, your mood: I treat them with the respect they deserve, refining each take to find the perfect delivery, because takes 3 and 4 are often better than takes 1 and 2.
At Danmade's brand new Allen Road studios in southeast London, customer choice and satisfaction go hand-in-hand, from additional takes and free re-records, to MixReady audio within 2 hours, and the option for you to direct the recording session.
At Danmade Studios, it's all about YOU and I, not AI."

Here are four of my favourite voiceover jobs from August and September 2025 — for Aston Martin, DP World, IBEX, and David Weksler. Each one called for that “deep voice, poetic, sonorous” tone I love: gravelly, rich, and full of nuance.
As a kid, I was mesmerised by Richard Burton’s narration in Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds. His voice felt physical — like a subwoofer inside my skull. It made me realise why Beethoven, though deaf, could still feel music. Close-mic and quiet is where the magic happens. Imperfect, intimate performances — croaks, cracks, breath — that’s where the emotion lives. And that’s why the human voice is still the most powerful instrument we have.
From audiobooks and ads to e-learning, explainer videos, and public transport announcements, Dan Akers has voiced scripts across nearly every platform worldwide. His 2023 voicereel features highlights including commercials for Thailand Tourism and Dulux, e-learning for American Express, and his London Underground voice — reprised for London’s 2023 New Year’s fireworks, broadcast to 12 million viewers on BBC One, BBC America, and YouTube.
In 2024, Danmade Studios produced 50 YouTube videos for TM Forum’s annual Catalysts competition. Dan directed global telecom submissions remotely via Riverside, overcoming poor webcam audio and eye contact using Descript’s Studio Sound, Eye Contact, and iZotope plugins. He handled editing, stock footage (Envato Elements), and custom motion graphics, even recreating TM Forum’s branding in Apple Motion due to missing assets from a previous agency.

“Such a talented artist who provided multiple takes with his audition.
His takes were so good that there was not even a need to re-record after submission of his audition.
Looking forward to working together again!”

"Dan worked with Villa Magna Publishing on a challenging audio book project that required not just his brilliant talent as a voice-over artist, but also characterisation and difficult pronunciation of words in other languages. Not only did he deliver a top final recording, but throughout the whole process he was professional, receptive to feedback and a real joy to work with. We liked Dan so much, we're now on to our second project with him!"
